POLICING

Community Policing: The Community Policing Unit is responsible for going throughout the county and patrolling in the municipalities that do not have their own local police department. Officers are trained to interact with business persons and community organizations in an attempt to resolve issues and concerns as they relate to police responsibility in the community.

    The officers are certified in radar and issue motor vehicle violations as well as detect and deter violations of the law. Members of this unit not only patrol in vehicles but also on foot interacting with the community. They also perform fingerprinting details, crime awareness programs and mall patrols.
