Visiting and General Information Visiting All visitors entering KDCF must possess positive identification (preferably photo), in two forms. Identification MUST be presented upon request of any staff personnel. To visit with an inmate, your name MUST appear on the inmates visiting list of names. It is the responsibility of the inmate to inform those individuals whom he/she has placed on their visiting list. DO NOT call KDCF to inquire if your name is on an inmates visiting list. It is the policy of KDCF not to release personal inmate information. KDCF reserves the right to limit the number of visitors during the visit and the right to prohibit contact visits for the safety and security of the institution, in accordance with 10A:31-20.3 and 10A:31-20.4 All visitors entering KDCF are subject to search of their person and personal belongings. It is recommended that all personal belongings remain locked inside your vehicle while visiting in the facility. Inmate Visiting Hours Saturday 8:00 am - 11:15 am & 12:30 pm - 3:45 pm Sunday 8:00 am - 11:15 am & 12:30 pm - 3:45 pm The last visit must be in 15 minutes prior to the end of each visiting session. Call the Communications Center for the specific visiting day for whom you are coming to visit. (Visiting hours are subject to change) Personal Property It is the policy of KDCF that inmates are prohibited from receiving personal property or gifts from outside the institution. By request, inmates may receive clothing for court appearances (Trial/Sentencing). Inmates may send accumulated personal property out of the facility at any time, at the expense borne by the inmate. Alternatively, inmates may have friends or relatives pick-up personal property (by request) on the inmates scheduled visiting day. Inmate Accounts Inmates may receive account deposits by mail or on their visiting day. By mail: send deposits in money order form only. When visiting: cash or money orders are acceptable. KDCF does not accept personal checks, credit cards or foreign currency. Bail All bails, fines, fees and probation payments accepted at KDCF must be paid by cash, money order, certified check or cashiers check. (exact amount) Inmates may send and receive mail on a daily basis. All mail received must have a return address or it will be returned to the post office. All received mail will be opened and inspected for contraband (items not allowable to be received while confined at KDCF)
Mail sent to inmates incarcerated at KDCF must be mailed to the following address: Inmates name and CN# Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility 41 High Street Newton, New Jersey 07860 Phone Calls Inmates have access to telephone privileges from 7:00 am - 10:30 pm All outgoing calls must be collect. Third party billing and phone card calling are not permitted. Telephone calls may be monitored. There is no provision for incoming calls to inmates incarcerated at KDCF. KDCF personnel does not accept or pass along phone messages or communications.
